I don't really want to give this latest anti-Paleo article too much time and space, because it has too many errors it's really quite funny. But i just want you to realise the importance of questioning, doing your own research and staying strong in your own truth. If eating this way is working for you, then it's your truth.
"THEY might be skinny but those following the fad Paleo diet are set to die young, a new study has found."
"And carbohydrate scoffing fatties who eat hardly any protein will outlive them."
- SUE DUNLEVY NATIONAL HEALTH REPORTER
- NEWS CORP AUSTRALIA NETWORK
The study they are referring too is NOT a study on the Paleo diet, or any other diet for that matter mentioned in the article. The study was done on 3 week old male mice for only an 8 week period (really short!!) who were fed manufactured pellets. That's it!! The fact that assumptions from a unrelevent short term animal study in which the animals were fed manufactured pellets and not fresh wholefoods was presented as 'evidence' against a human wholefood way of eating is so misleading and false.
But why? I'm really not sure what Professor Steven's agenda is. Or the agenda of reporter Sue Dunlevy, or her media executives. Maybe the sources of the research grant funding or media sponsorships has something to do with it, maybe it doesn't. But it does seems obvious that someone has a biased opinion about the Paleo diet, or maybe it's an opinion about Pete Evans since they mentioned him.
(FYI- Paleo does not promote high protein, but rather moderate protein, heaps of vegetables and enough healthy fats to keep you satisfied.)
